Contract Opportunity Location: Canberra NV1 Clearance Required OverviewThe Infrastructure Engineer (Print Services) manages the technical aspects of print services provided by supported printers and Multi-Function Devices (MFDs).
They are responsible for managing and provisioning MFD, associated print peripherals, impression counts, relocations, maintaining printer queues, software & configuration and rolling out new devices.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical support for services provided by supported printers and MFDs.Liaison with fleet vendors, including responsibility for provision of regular impression counts, fleet movements and resolution of technical issues.Manage, monitor and maintain print services in desktop and Protected Enclave environments.Development, testing, certification and deployment of new printer and MFD models, capabilities, drivers and software.Actively participate in the team service desk following agency and ITIL processes, including management of tasks and job queues while maintaining tight time frames with a level of autonomy.Liaise with stakeholders within the Agency and Shared Service Clients to provide accurate and timely advice on MFD and printer related matters.RequirementsMinimum 2+ years technical experience working with MFD, Printer devices and associated Print Server components.Minimum 2+ years' experience with MFD and printer configuration and management utilities.Knowledge and understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) including Change and Incident management processes.Ability to investigate and identify issues for escalation.Ability to research and make sound decisions based within policy, procedures and guidelines particularly Essential 8 and Cyber Security impacts.Basic understanding of managing and setting up Group Policy Objects (GPO), whitelisting and System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).Due to the nature of this role, you need to be an Australian Citizen with an active NV1 security clearance.
