This is underpinned by our three values – integrity in everything that we do, supporting clients everywhere, and developing and valuing everyone.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Infrastructure manager , this role will give you the opportunity to drive process improvement in line with best practices, and to also be responsible for the following:Provide subject matter expertise in the design and maintenance of cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure systems.Ensure adequate monitoring and performance of IT infrastructure and Services including Network, Server, and Cloud Solutions.Planning and deploying upgrades and enhancements to IT infrastructure, including but not limited to servers, computers, network devices and phone systems.Serve as an escalation point for IT Support teams.Troubleshoot complex technical issues providing resolution, guidance, documentation, and recommendations.Lead IT infrastructure and security projects.Maintains appropriate data backup and emergency recovery procedures.Ensures the organisation is adequately secured from cyber threats by assisting with system patching and vulnerability management.Contributes to IT strategy discussions and provides input into digital experience improvement opportunities.Assist with IT Infrastructure Vendor contract management.Participate in budget discussions and make recommendations to assist the firm with its strategic goals.Provide guidance and share expertise with junior team members, promoting continuous learning.Continuous improvement of infrastructure, systems and processes.Continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.QualificationsABOUT YOUCandidates with a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Information Technology.Recognised industry certifications from vendors such as Microsoft, Vmware, Cisco, CompTIA.Certifications associated with Cloud services; Azure preferred.Any other relevant industry certification would be an advantage.Personality AttributesProfessionally presented.Good attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions.Excellent written, interpersonal, and consultative skills, and the ability to communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audience.Ability to work independently and in a team, with a proactive, results driven and customer-focussed attitude.A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.Skills And ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.Experience in network management, routing, security, systems administration, and cloud technologies.Experience managing and deploying common Azure services; designing, implementing, managing Azure cloud networking and security.Experience with Endpoint, Email, and internet security concepts and tools.Proficiency in automation, scripting, and programming languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.Experience across a broad tech stack: M365, VMware, Veeam, Palo Alto, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Sentinel, SD-WAN amongst others.Proficiency in implementing security measures, such as firewall policies and IPSec tunnels.Understanding of security best practices, including encryption, identity management, access control, network security, and compliance standards such as (ACSC) Essential Eight.Experience in deployment and administration of databases (MSSQL, Azure Cosmos, Azure SQL as service) is desirable.Life At RSMRSM provides a great environment to build skills and confidence and we help our people achieve their best.
