The RoleThis position is part of a geographically dispersed team of level 2 and level 3 engineers and will be supporting, maintaining, monitoring and improving APM's Digital and Technology Infrastructure environment.
This includes technologies such as (not limited to) servers, virtualisation, networking, firewalls, load balancers, communications and collaboration technologies, devices and associated software.
The position is part of a team that is responsible for ensuring that this capability meets the required performance, uptime and availability required from our business community, whilst adhering to security requirements that are relevant to the environment.
In this role you will:Accountable for the management and maintenance of (not limited to) servers, virtualisation, networking, firewalls, load balancers, communications and collaboration technologies, devices and associated software.Troubleshoot and resolve IT Infrastructure and network related problems and incidents.Assist appropriately in security related incidents.Monitor infrastructure resources and manage alerts and notifications to ensure that systems are running smoothly and efficiently.Manage backups and disaster recovery solutions for infrastructure and services.Use your extensive experience and knowledge to identify opportunities to continually improve the APM environment, with a "Best Practice" approach.Skills you'll bring:At least five years' experience working within technical teams (network operations, system administration, security operations, and facility management), highly beneficial would be experience within an enterprise scale, geographically disperse environment / cloud-based organisation involving working with vendors and inhouse D&T services, including (service level agreements and terms and conditions) to meet strategic and business needs utilising matrix and leveraged technical and delivery teams.Strong technical knowledge (not limited to) Active Directory, SCCM, Azure, Hyper-V, O365 Suite, PowerShell, SQL.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and / or Microsoft certification (Azure, MCSE, MCSA certification).Relevant qualifications or relevant fields of experience such as ITIL Certification / Practitioner and / or extensive knowledge of ITIL best practices.Excellent communication skills including the ability to avoid technical jargon and strong interpersonal skills with a customer focus.Strong influencing and negotiation skills at an operational level.Strong relationship building skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.High degree of self-motivation.What's in it for you?Working with a growing global business, you'll get to be involved in strategic M&A, organic growth, and due diligence.
