The Role
The Technology Specialist Infrastructure plays a vital role in ensuring the operation and integration of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems within SPA. This role responsible for providing expert support in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing SPA's technology, with a key focus on infrastructure. It revolves around ensuring the seamless and secure operation of technology systems, optimising performance, and swiftly addressing any technical challenges that arise, while also actively contributing to various projects. This role offers flexibility to explore and incorporate other technologies, contributing to the SPA's technological advancement and innovation.

This role is available in our Bunbury or Esperance locations.

Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues reported by users promptly.Analyse problems thoroughly to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Maintain detailed records of incidents, changes, and system configurations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects, providing technical expertise and support.Regularly update and maintain systems to ensure optimal performance and security.Conduct proactive maintenance checks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and propose innovative solutions. The Expertise Tertiary qualification in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or vendor-specificMinimum of 4 years' experience and a proven track record in managing server and network infrastructure.Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure.Proficiency in networking concepts and firewall configuration.Experience with virtual platforms like Azure, AWS, VMWare.Experience with a variety of OT systems SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and industrial IoT devices.Experience working in a relevant industry is helpful, but not required. Knowledge Proficient in networking and security best practices.Understanding of web server management and encryption techniques.Familiarity with Windows OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.Strong scripting skills, particularly using PowerShell.Knowledge of ITIL Framework would be advantageous.To see the PD for this role, please copy and paste the below link into your browser:

Requirements

To be eligible for this two (2) year fixed term role, applicants must be able to provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency and be willing to reside in Bunbury or Esperance.

The successful applicant must have a current WA driver's licence, be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Access Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
