Position No. 896 Permanent Full-Time Band 6 - 7 $89,780 - $112,594 yearly, (depending on experience and qualifications) plus 11.5% statutory superannuation Wellington Shire Council is searching for a dedicated Infrastructure Development Engineer to join our dynamic Built Environment Team.

This role involves providing engineering advice and overseeing a diverse range of projects, including strategic and statutory infrastructure planning, capital design outcomes, and the development of traffic and drainage strategies. This position will work across all project phases including initiation, design, documentation, tender and procurement, construction commissioning, and finalization.
As the Infrastructure Design Engineer, you will work closely with internal contacts, external developers, road and service authorities, and consultants to ensure that projects are completed in line with contractual obligations. We are looking for an excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for engineering and design. In return, you will be exposed to a wide variety of projects, including working closely with design engineers and private consultants to review subdivisions and manage traffic and flood studies.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below: A degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.Several years of experience in Civil/Municipal construction/maintenance and subdivision development work required.Competence in the use of appropriate software systems.Superior time management and organizational skills.Ability to undertake project management of strategic projects and supervise consultants.Accurate project program preparation skills.Why Wellington?
