The Role The Portfolio Lead is responsible for enhancing the delivery of one of our client's Portfolio Delivery departments by establishing, implementing and maintaining a standardised project management system, including relevant processes, policies, and tools.
The Portfolio Lead will be the custodian of Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO) project management standards, templates, tools and processes.
The position will provide oversight, high-level coordination and management to program and project management across the Portfolio Delivery Department.
The position will work closely with other department leaders to ensure a standardised project management system is adopted across all sections of the organisation and delivers benefits to all sections.

Responsibilities Responsible for setting up a repeatable, reliable and predictable operating rhythm representing Program and Project Managers Ensure Delivery of the Program is supported, and Governance is adhered to via the controls set by the Program and EPO across all standard PMO disciplines Ownership of the Program's financial and reporting EOM activity; preparatory, execution and closure of resource and financial data within tolerances set by the EPO Support the Program Manager and Program Leads on budgeting and investment approval(s) for the Program; coordinate the moves from the Program from various stages of the gating phases imposed by the EPO; requiring alignment/adherence to the various entry and exit criteria for each gate.
Engage with key internal stakeholders - with a focus on capital approval, progress reporting, risk management and governance Work with the Program Manager and Program Leads to build appropriate plans and reporting tools that meet a variety of organisational, program and stakeholder requirements.
Track progress against plans and support internal and external reporting.
Support the Portfolio Delivery Manager in running and preparing for governance meetings, including preparation of materials, administration and secretariat.
Manage small sub-projects (e.g.
procurement, facilities) to enable the portfolio and team members to operate efficiently and meet overall milestones/objectives.
You'll promote Delivery Services best practices and methodologies across the Portfolio Be an active contributor in Delivery Services Community Forums contributing to developing new ways of working and working with other PMO staff across client and cross-Delivery Services team collaboration Take ownership to ensure assurance in project delivery, providing recommendations to improve the delivery of projects via management of risks, issues, dependencies, change requests and value drops coupled with financials.
