About the RoleReporting to the Manager: Cyber Security Operations, you will contribute to the proactive cyber security operations and risk management efforts of the University. You will also ultimately play a vital part in managing security threats and risks to the University's systems, networks, data, support technologies while also improving security culture.
About the UnitInformation Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS), which has the primary strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of the UniSA's considerable IT infrastructure and services has approximately 150 staff in 8 key areas. ISTS is customer focused and operates a service management framework based on AS8018 and provides seamless 24 x 7 x 52 service to students and staff. Information Strategy and Technology Services has a commitment to staff development and provides a professional environment in which to work.
The University's Cyber Security team works with a wide range of stakeholders across the University to ensure all staff are aware of cyber security issues and good cybersecurity practice and are storing and managing data in accordance with the University's data classification policy.
Essential Skills and Experience Knowledge and experience in the application of Cyber Security and Risk Management FrameworksGood organisation skills to balance and prioritise work and ability to multitaskSignificant experience in and commitment to a high level of customer service and to working collaboratively in a team-based environmentSignificant experience in the administration of specific technologies associated with cyber security including vulnerability management, endpoint protection, access management and security operations.Proven ability to work effectively with technical staff from other teams, including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people at all levelsPractical knowledge and demonstrated experience of the ITIL service management framework (AS8018), particularly in relation to incident, change and problem managementBenefitsGetting a great job working with the best is just the start.
