Blake Oliver Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity and Information Security Specialist for an established organisation in the financial services sector.

The role combines technical expertise, strategic oversight, and collaboration to ensure the organisation's cybersecurity and information security frameworks align with regulatory and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments of cybersecurity maturity and develop plans to improve organisational capabilities.Implement and manage information security (IS) policies to meet regulatory requirements, including APRA CPS 230.Oversee practical security activities such as penetration testing, vendor risk assessments, and compliance audits.Ensure security best practices during IT deployments, including cloud-based systems and system integrations.Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators, to demonstrate compliance and capability.Manage cloud-based infrastructure security, particularly within Microsoft Azure and enterprise systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365.Mentor and develop junior IT team members to uplift overall team capability.What We're Looking ForSignificant experience in cybersecurity or information security, ideally within financial services or regulated environments.Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, particularly APRA CPS 230.Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (Microsoft Azure) and enterprise systems (Microsoft Dynamics).Experience conducting security assessments, managing risk, and liaising with external vendors or regulators.Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions.A pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to balancing regulatory requirements with operational needs.Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
