Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the Native Title representative group for the Nyiyaparli People, who are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land in the east Pilbara region. This area holds great cultural and historical significance, encompassing sacred sites, communities, and essential resources.
Location:
The position is based at KNAC's South Hedland office. However, a WA-based remote location will be available for the right applicant.
Position Purpose:
The Information & Records Officer is responsible for supporting the effective management of KNAC's corporate records. This role focuses on migrating records from legacy systems to SharePoint Online and enhancing information management processes. The successful candidate will ensure data accuracy, manage record metadata, develop user guides, and support internal training.
Key Responsibilities:
Migrate records to SharePoint while ensuring data integrity.Create and manage metadata for efficient record classification and retrieval.Configure SharePoint functionalities and support end-user training.Digitise physical records and maintain high standards of data entry.Collaborate with departments to customise solutions and ensure policy compliance.Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in SharePoint Online administration or similar systems.Knowledge of records and information management principles.Advanced Microsoft 365 skills and project management experience.Strong communication skills and ability to develop user documentation.National Police Check.Tertiary qualification in Information Studies, IT, or related field.Experience working with Nyiyaparli or Aboriginal communities.Nyiyaparli people and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
