Information & Records Management Support Officer $79,240 per annum + SuperannuationOngoing, Full TimeAbout the role The Information and Records Management Unit (IRMU) is responsible for an information and records management service that includes:
Supporting and advising on information and records management principles and guidelines including information classificationEducation and coaching activitiesA retention and disposal programme relative to the lifecycle of WorkSafe Victoria's information and records.The key purpose of this role is to engage across all levels of the business to provide records and information management advice, irrespective of format (digital or physical), regarding the creation, capture and control retention and disposal requirements of records. The role will provide a coaching service regarding the use of WorkSafe's electronic records management system and make recommendations relating to the continuous improvement of information and records management activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and the WorkSafe strategic plan. You will:
Work autonomously following established priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver quality information and records management outcomes and provide guidance to stakeholders.Recommend continuous improvement opportunities for information and records management activities while considering compliance and regulatory requirements, highlighting concerns or risks.Undertake a range of administrative tasks and coordinate project governance and working groups, including the drafting of agendas, creation of status reports in accordance with WSV project management guidelines and taking minutes, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality appropriately.Support the implementation of business area specific information and records management processes through one-on-one coaching or the provision of information sessions, ensuring records management processes and procedures are adhered to.Undertake analysis and assist in the preparation of reports in relation to records management service provider statistics and the long-term strategic application of those services, including monitoring service levels and availability.About you You have experience in records management within a Government organisation. You will possess good verbal and written communication, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also have:
Good knowledge of current recordkeeping and information management practices.Exposure to change management initiatives and practices.Ability to interpret, communicate and provide advice on trends and anomalies and resolve business area issues.Proven ability to prepare and deliver appropriate documentation including policies, procedures, frameworks, and business briefing documents.Advanced analytical, and problem-solving skills including ability to solve problems outside previous experience by applying models and concepts.Experience with SharePoint and Office 365 preferred.What's next?
