Permanent part time – 40 hours per fortnight available About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Ward Clerk to join our busy Emergency Department Team.
As a member of the team you will play an important role in providing clerical support, including computer related tasks supporting the day to day running of the Emergency Department, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities Collate and process accurate confidential patient data for daily, weekly and monthly statistical reporting Document and store relevant information in accordance with the medical records act Effectively liaise with other departments within the hospital and external medical service providers Prepare patient medical records with appropriate forms for documentation of each episode of care.
Skills & Experience Essential: Proven ability to work under pressure Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate, confidential records Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and iPM Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team Desirable: Certificate III Business Administration Previous experience in a health care environment An understanding of medical terminology To view a full copy of the Position Description please click here.
