We deliver secure electricity to homes and businesses throughout the Southwest Interconnected System (SWIS) from Coral Bay in the north, to Kalgoorlie in the east, and to Esperance in the south.Role Description:The Information Management and Data Governance Analyst is a newly created opportunity in our Data Sharing and Governance Team based at our Perth Central Park site.
This is a Permanent Full-Time role.The purpose of this role is to support the business in understanding information management and data governance requirements, prioritising maturity uplift and implementing effective information management and data governance practices.Job responsibilities:Conduct thorough analysis and document requirements of information management & data governance initiatives, ensure effective implementation of governance practices and provide support including developing asset registers, data cataloguing, and quality assessments.Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and contribute to the development of policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with it.Validate and support the implementation of Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) readiness plans and processes to ensure compliance and maturity uplift through requirement analysis, consultation, and stakeholder collaboration.Articulate the benefits and value of information and data, both internal and external, that can be mined from business systems and other sources, emphasizing the importance of data governance practices.Provide consultation, problem definition, and guidance across the business while identifying and proposing improvement initiatives, evaluating new tools and techniques, promoting continuous improvement through collaboration, and development of metrics and dashboards to enhance information management and data governance practices.What you will bring:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related discipline.2 years+ of information management work or data governance experience with a broad range of exposure to various business segments and technical environments.Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, a proven track record in requirement analysis and identifying improvement initiatives, strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication with all levels of the business, and a commitment to promoting innovation.Knowledge and application of relevant legislation such as State Records Act, Freedom of Information Act and Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) Act.Knowledge of relevant technologies, products, and processes including SharePoint and Purview is preferred.Every Voice MattersOur employees have a choice to work for Synergy and it's a choice we respect and value.
