Information Access Officer

The Information Access Officer assists the team through a range of supporting activities to manage requests for information.
Activities can include the retrieval, filing, and preparation of documents to facilitate the handling of information requests and litigation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Under limited direction, the Information Access Officer will be required to:
Undertake thorough searches to retrieve all material relevant to requests for information.Review protected information for the purpose of identifying redactions to the material in accordance with the provisions.
Keep an accurate record of the review and identified potential redactions with corresponding reasons.Prepare comprehensive briefs to the Director General regarding material that has been requested and reviewed to assist the Director General.Demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare correspondence and briefs.Maintain high levels of confidentiality in all aspects of the work and deal sensitively with issues as they arise.Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the section and maintain all records.To be considered for the role click the 'apply' button or for more information about this and other opportunities please contact Muhammad Warsi on (0)2 6151 9201 or email: ****** and quote the above job reference number.
