Registrar (Remuneration Package $138,488 - $173,099) Comprising salary $108,630-$136,112 superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave Senior Registrar (Remuneration Package $188,118 - $205,492) Comprising salary $148,037 - $161,831 superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave. 
Provide a high standard of medical care to patients, admitted or non-admitted, within the Top End Health Services, which includes Royal Darwin Palmerston Hospitals and Katherine and Gove District Hospital.
Context statement Advanced Trainee positions in Infectious Diseases are suitable for RACP trainees who have passed the written and clinical RACP exams or overseas equivalent and are undergoing specialty training in infectious diseases. This position can be accredited for up to 12 months of core Infectious Diseases Advanced training and 6 months non-core. In addition options for non-core training include roles within public health and general medicine. The infectious diseases registrar position includes rotations through inpatient infectious diseases, Infectious Diseases consult service, hospital in the home and outpatient clinics which include general infectious diseases, telehealth, viral hepatitis and tuberculosis clinics. Engagement with cultural orientation is essential for any interested applicant as well as the ability to work well in a team.
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Passed RACP written and clinical exam or recognised overseas equivalent. Sound clinical knowledge in assessment and management of patients and a commitment to provide appropriate high quality service. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact positively in a cross-cultural work environment, as a team member. Ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team comprised of doctors, scientists, technicians and infection prevention staff; An interest in and a commitment to improving Aboriginal health. Evidence of commitment to continuing education, teaching, research and quality assurance activities. Proven ability to manage self and others, monitor performance, manage change and develop policy with an understanding of EEO and WHS principles and policy. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
