We are currently seeking an enthusiastic IPC manager to lead our Infection Prevention and Control program on a full-time basis.

The role of the IPC Manager is to develop, coordinate and oversee activities related to preventing and controlling infections at Sunnybank Private Hospital.
You will provide leadership and expert advice, effectively organising and overseeing IPC activities to ensure adherence to standards and promote a culture of safety and quality improvement.
The IPC Manager practices both independently and interdependently, assuming accountability and responsibility for IPAC data collection for assigned portfolios, under the leadership and support of the Director of Nursing.
The role will see you liaise broadly across the organisation with members of an expansive multidisciplinary team (Facilities, Environmental Services, Nursing, Medical, Allied Health) to achieve positive outcomes for patients, consumers and the workforce.

To be successful in this role, you will have: 3 years of post-graduation clinical experience as an IPC manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant or Clinical Nurse in the specialty of Infection Prevention and Control.Extensive experience as an IPC nurse within acute hospitals, covering a variety of settings within the hospital environment.Demonstrated ability to negotiate, resolve conflict and handle sensitive and complex issues.Knowledge in the application of Infection Prevention and Control Standards.Skills in relationship building, cooperation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussions.Ability to work within a self-directed and resourceful manner, whilst remaining within scope of service and scope of practice.Current nurse immunisation certification (or working towards).Hand Hygiene Auditor with NHHI.Inherent Requirements: Current registration as Registered Nurse with AHPRA.Postgraduate qualifications in Infection Prevention and Control or Public Health (or working towards).Current nurse immunisation certification (or working towards).To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
