Cafs is a value driven organisation, which means we use our values to hold ourselves to account in how we work together and how we serve our clients OUR OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an Infant/Early Childhood Practitioner to join our team and provide essential support to families with children aged 0-5.
This role focuses on delivering flexible, wrap-around services aimed at promoting children's safety, stability, and healthy development.
The position involves a range of interventions, including: Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Services (PASDS): Supporting parents of vulnerable infants and young children by building their capacity to ensure safe and nurturing care.
Family Case Management: Addressing a variety of challenges with a strength-based approach, emphasizing positive child-parent relationships.
Infant/Early Childhood Consults: Providing tailored support and education to families to address developmental and caregiving difficulties.
Through evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches, you will have the opportunity to create meaningful change in the lives of families and young children, empowering them to thrive.
ABOUT YOU You are a compassionate professional with expertise in working with families and children aged 0-5, including infants and toddlers.
Your skill set includes providing therapeutic, educative, and outcome-focused interventions, with experience in parenting assessments, skill development, and short-term case management.
Key qualities and skills you bring: Strong ability to conduct assessments, develop Family Action Plans, and deliver targeted interventions that address attachment, trauma, and developmental challenges.
Experience working with high-risk families, applying frameworks like the Best Interests Case Practice Model to identify and address risks effectively.
Proficiency in building constructive relationships with Child Protection workers and other professionals to coordinate care and support services for families.
Strong communication skills to provide written reports, maintain accurate records, and meet service agreement targets within required timeframes.
You are motivated by a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being through your evidence-based and trauma-informed approach.
QUALIFICATIONS Tertiary Qualifications (Diploma and above) in Social Work, Welfare Studies, Family Therapy, Psychology or related discipline What is on offer at Cafs?
