Deliver apprenticeship support services throughout Mount Gambier Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholdersAttractive range of employee benefitsAbout us Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA) is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Australian Government's contract to support apprenticeships and traineeships in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, South Australia, and Queensland for 2024 – 2026, which began on 1 July.
ASA is excited to leverage our 26 years of apprenticeship support through enhanced services to further improve retention, completion and satisfaction rates for apprentices and their employers. ASA will continue to provide free quality end-to-end advice and assistance, ensuring a clear understanding for apprentices and employers on how to access quality support when needed throughout their apprenticeship or traineeship.
Apprenticeships and traineeships play a vital role in the Australian Vocational Educational and Training system. They contribute significantly to the Australian economy by bridging the gap between individuals' career aspirations and employers' skills requirements. These apprenticeships provide opportunities for people to receive training, pursue studies and earn an income across a diverse range of occupations. ASA is proud to be a national contributor to this vital system.
About the role The Industry Training Consultant (ITC) will conduct the sign-up process of Australian Apprentices (AA) in person (face-to-face) in the workplace providing consistent and accurate information about their apprenticeship, conditions, rights, obligations for both parties under the Training Contract, advice on appropriate qualifications and relevant approved training providers.
The ITC will ensure the appropriateness of the apprenticeship arrangements, including determining the appropriate qualification for the apprenticeship and assist AAs and employers to understand and complete the Training Contract and access support services to improve AA completion rates.
About you This position is well suited to an organised individual who can work autonomously, thrives in a busy environment and has the ability to build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have:
'In field' experience and a sound understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship System is preferred.Proven ability to build rapport with the business community and stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in client service.Proven business development experience will be highly regarded.Strong communication, liaison and networking capabilities.Proficient skills in MS Office, and the ability to use external computer-based databases.The ability to interpret Government guidelines and related VET legislation.The successful candidate will be provided with the required tools to perform the role including a mobile phone allowance, laptop and vehicle, in addition to a competitive salary.

A current and valid driver's licence is also a requirement of this position.
