About the Role: Due to the continuous growth of AusIMM, we are currently seeking a motivated and driven individual to continue to build our brand.
The Industry Relationships and Partnerships Manager is responsible for building new, and strengthening existing relationships with organisations and key stakeholder groups in Queensland and other key mining markets on the East Coast of Australia.
The core function of the role is to develop valuable partnerships that support AusIMM's strategic objectives and ongoing sustainability.
Key stakeholder groups include industry, government, universities, and other kindred bodies.
This hands-on role will be responsible for developing a business strategy to drive growth and meet financial targets, in addition to identifying, progressing, and closing sales and partnership opportunities for AusIMM.
Reporting to the Head of Industry Relationships and Stakeholder Engagement, responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Build long-term strategic relationships with industry partners to grow AusIMM's reach and relevance and achieve set financial targets.Define and execute on a comprehensive partnership strategy for the QLD market that will drive ongoing revenue growth and expand our partner base.Create partnership revenue opportunities by identifying and contacting key decision-makers and formulating strategic industry initiatives.Lead complex partnership negotiations, building rapport and influencing to deliver beneficial outcomes for AusIMM.Produce high-quality, compelling partnership proposals.Maximise existing partnerships through oversight of detailed and proactive account management.Strengthen the influence and market position of AusIMM's brand through industry engagement and promotional opportunities with stakeholders.Research and analyse industry trends and opportunities.Liaising closely with other AusIMM teams to ensure understanding and activation of the partnership strategy.Represent AusIMM at in-person events such as conferences.About You: You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, and hard-working team within a business that welcomes your ideas and supports your career.
Skills and experience essential to the role include:
Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B sales and/or business development or partnership-related roles.An excellent track record of hunting sales and growing market share and revenue.Proven experience in developing new market opportunities, identifying, and developing sales plans and stakeholder mapping.An ability to interact at all levels with diverse roles including other business units, business partners, and executive leadership.Strong, demonstrated commercial acumen.Highly motivated and demonstrated ability to work effectively independently.Analytical skills that enable analysis of new opportunities and industry trends.Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Experience using a sales CRM.Desirable skills and experience: A relevant tertiary qualification in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.Strong strategic project management skills.Prior experience leading cross-team collaboration.Understanding of the mining sector or other highly technical industries.Relationships with existing and potential partners in the resources industry.We're passionate about our commitment to build and accelerate the careers of people working in all aspects of the mining industry, and that same commitment extends to our employees.
