We work directly with Destination NSW, industry leaders, and local stakeholders to strengthen and grow our region's tourism industry.As our Industry Engagement Manager, you'll be instrumental in achieving our vision. Your mission will be to strengthen our industry ties, foster business and product innovation, and empower businesses through programs and projects - all while working in one of Australia's most beautiful regions.You will work closely with industry stakeholders in the visitor economy to help them grow and develop their tourism business. This will include leveraging funding and building industry capacity through Destination NSW's 'NSW First' and other industry development programs.You will also work alongside local government stakeholders to build networks and tourism product and experience clusters.What You'll Be Doing:Industry Engagement & Program Development: Lead dynamic industry engagement initiatives, business and product development, and educational programs that drive growth and resilience across our region.Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the go-to expert for key stakeholders, sharing insights on Destination NSW services and fostering strong partnerships.Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning: Gather and share insights to help inform regional strategies and improve communication with Destination NSW.Relationship Building: Cultivate strategic relationships with Destination NSW, government agencies, local councils, and industry players to advocate for and advance our region's tourism goals.Regional Expertise: Stay informed on the local landscape - everything from visitor metrics and key experiences to emerging opportunities and industry challenges.Selection Criteria:This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the tourism industry, likes helping businesses, and has strong stakeholder engagement skills. To thrive in this role, you should have:Proven experience in building and managing strong industry relationships.A solid track record in tourism or a related field, with expertise in industry development and engagement.Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently.Knowledge of the unique opportunities and challenges within the North Coast NSW tourism landscape.Ideal but Not Essential:Strong project management skills and experience.Applications:Applications close at 9am Monday 9th December.
