As the Industry Development Officer, your proven business engagement experience and understanding of the economic landscape will see you working with agriculture, home based and industrial businesses having a customer first and continuous improvement mindset.
You will work directly with our businesses delivering practical outcomes from the Nillumbik Economic Development Strategy and the Future of Agriculture in Nillumbik Action Plan.
What a typical day will look like: Undertake business engagement activitiesDeliver innovative projects to support our economyIdentify and nurture beneficial partnerships with business groups, government agencies and regional bodiesAnalyse demographic and economic data for informed evidence-based decision makingWhat you will bring to the role: Developed knowledge of business and economic development.Demonstrated experience in project management, delivering within agreed timelines and budget.Demonstrated achievements in community engagement, customer service excellence and continuous improvement in service delivery.Knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Local, State and Federal Government.High level of computer literacy and information management skills.Degree or Diploma in a business, economic or related discipline with relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in a related field.Why should you join us?
