We provide a unique two-to-three-year program for young people in Years 10 to 12 designed to progressively develop employability skills and achieve individualised learning goals, whilst also meeting the requirements of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
Our aim is to seamlessly blend senior education and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences with real world industry relevance.
About the Role We are seeking an Industry Consultant (similar to the role of an Industry Liaison Officer) to join our Gold Coast School in a full-time, permanent capacity.
In this role, you will support young people in achieving employment outcomes.
Key to your success will be your ability to coach and mentor young people to build their character and employability skills and connect with industry to develop successful, ongoing partnerships.
You will also provide day-to-day oversight of implementing various industry program activities.
Key Outcomes: Conducting risk assessments with employers to ensure appropriate duty of care and compliance.
Leading on-campus young person training opportunities (Site Meetings, 'Rookies Be Prepared', etc.) Education and training to set young people up for successful work experience placements.
Facilitation of workshops and employability skills sessions.
Review and follow-up of Work Experience Program placements and provide feedback to young people.
Engage both new and existing employers with The Industry School.
Communication and liaison with parents/guardians and employers.
