We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual to fill the position of an Industry and Vocational Training Officer on a temporary part-time basis for 12 months unless otherwise determined. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping senior school students achieve their goals. Your role requires you to administer the ongoing delivery of the School Based Traineeships and Apprenticeship program and engage with business and industry partners to maximise opportunities for secondary students. You will also establish and maintain effective networks and work collaboratively with business and industry groups to build strong and vibrant links that promote School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships as a career pathway for students.About the role:As the Industry and Vocational Training Officer, some of the tasks you will be involved in are:Actively engaging with industry and business to source School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities for prospective students and seek opportunities for student placement in industry.Developing and providing guidance for the work experience placement program, including identifying increased opportunities, monitoring students in the workplace, arranging visits where required, and managing the preparation, collection, and storage of records and data as required by departmental policy.Providing the Principal/Deputy Principal with a regular update of the program outcomes and identifying issues that may impact on the success of the program.Responsibilities include:Actively engage with industry and business to source School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities for prospective students and seek opportunities for student placement in industry.Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and apprenticeship support agencies.Provide the Principal/Deputy Principal with a regular update of the program outcomes and identify issues that may impact on the success of the program.Coordinate with the Principal/Deputy Principal the recruitment of students to pathway options and process the enrolment of students into programs.Provide a high level of client support to business and industry partners, and establish feedback loops to ensure continuous improvement.To Apply:Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history).Attach a 2-page response to the How you may be assessed section of the attached role description.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.Salary rate shown is reflective of full-time (1.0 FTE).#J-18808-Ljbffr
