IBISWorld's analysts research across Australian industries, gathering and thinking critically about data to write industry-specific reports.

Reporting to the Industry Manager, you will be responsible for:
Collecting, interpreting and analysing macroeconomic, demographic and industry-specific data to identify and clearly communicate key business trends Long-term forecasting based on existing industry data Updating high-quality industry reports within specified deadlines and in accordance with in-house editorial and quality standards Qualitative research, keeping up-to-date with key macroeconomic and industry trends Performing client presentations Contributing to product development initiatives Giving interviews to journalists about your assigned industries as required Any other duties as assigned by Industry Manager or Team Leaders As a successful candidate, you will have:
An undergraduate degree in economics, commerce, business or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to analyse and forecast economic data, demonstrated through either previous work experience or university studies Familiarity with online research techniques A solid grasp of economics, financial terms and business concepts A strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Experience writing business research articles, reports or other key documents for a business audience is a strong advantage A strong interest in keeping up-to-date with economic news and current events Confidence to liaise with the media regarding current industry trends Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word If you think you are the ideal candidate for this position, please apply online by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter explaining how your skills and experience align with this role.
