Industrial Technology/Design and Technology TeacherWe are seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced secondary teacher to deliver subjects within our Industrial Technology/Design and Technology area. This is a full-time role.Selection criteriaTeaching Expertise and Curriculum Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, innovative, and differentiated Industrial Technology lessons in alignment with the Australian Curriculum. Experience teaching a variety of industrial technology subjects. The ability to integrate contemporary practices and techniques such as CNC plasma cutting and 3D printing into projects is essential.Commitment to Student Engagement and Wellbeing: Proven ability to establish positive relationships with students, fostering an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and achievement.Technical Skills and Workshop Management: Demonstrated practical skills and knowledge of equipment, tools, and safety protocols associated with industrial technology workshops. Ability to maintain and manage resources, ensuring a safe and compliant learning environment for students and staff.Professional Qualifications and Ongoing Learning: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Industrial Technology or a related field, coupled with a recognised teaching qualification. A current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration and a commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.Contribution to the Wider School Community: A willingness to actively participate in the life of the College, including co-curricular activities, events, and pastoral care programs, aligning with the College's values and ethos.Technology Integration in Teaching: Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate digital technologies into teaching and learning to enhance student engagement and outcomes in Industrial Technology.
