About the Role
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Industrial Relations professional to join the Industrial Relations team at Uber.
As the Industrial Relations Manager, you will play a key role in representing Uber in small claims proceedings brought by driver and delivery partners, and appearances before the Fair Work Commission (FWC).
What you'll do
You will be responsible for the intake and end-to-end case management of these matters, working closely with a number of cross-functional teams including our in-house and external lawyers in managing these claims, along with representing Uber in these matters.
In addition to this, the role will have the opportunity to have exposure to:

The day-to-day ongoing relationship with unions; Input into engagements with peak bodies and other platforms relevant to industrial relations; Manage litigation including closely monitoring spend and resourcing; Escalations from the Uber Eats National WHS Committee. What you'll need

Extensive advocacy/litigation experience in courts, tribunals, and/or the FWC; Industrial Relations and case management experience; Consistent track record of effective stakeholder engagement. Formal qualifications in Law and/or Industrial Relations are also a prerequisite. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to influence and navigate complex stakeholder interactions are essential for success in this role.

Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office.
