About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Advisor to join our Employment Relations team on a temporary full-time basis until December 2025.
This is an exciting and varied role where you will primarily focus on supporting current enterprise agreement bargaining activities, along with providing professional industrial relations advice to leaders and employees in our schools and catholic schools office across all employee lifecycle activities.
This role will report directly to the Employment Relations Manager, and provides an outstanding opportunity to work in a busy and friendly team environment, delivering high standards and timely outcomes for our organisation.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we are undergoing a period of transformation across our People and Culture (P&C) operating model, so this role will play a key role in shaping our future ways of working.
We are working on a hybrid model with the flexibility of working 50% split between our Parramatta office and working from home.
The Industrial Relations Advisor is accountable for: Supporting enterprise agreement bargaining, advocacy and negotiations with unions and other external bodies (in conjunction with the Employment Relations Manager and other relevant members of the ER team) Advising on and applying terms of employment in accordance with Enterprise Agreement, Awards and employment legislation Monitoring the industrial and employment relations landscape and providing strategic advice on adherence to maintaining compliance and responding to change Assisting the Employment Relations Manager in monitoring conditions of employment and minimising industrial disputes, including building professional relationships with unions Maintaining Industrial Relations records and other relevant material What you will bring To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values, together with: Proven experience negotiating enterprise agreements in a large and complex business environment Experience engaging with Unions and great working knowledge of the Industrial Relations system, Acts and laws The ability to manage parts of the Enterprise Agreement strategy development, negotiations, implementation and compliance Attention to detail and strong planning and organisational skills The Benefits Competitive remuneration 25% off school fees for your children enrolled in our schools Salary Packaging Hybrid/Flexible working environment (50% office, 50% remote) Wellbeing Programs Collaborative & supportive culture About Us At Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) we are committed to responding to the needs of our students in a world that is changing rapidly.
