We are looking for an Industrial Relations Advisor to join our team based in Victoria Park, Perth.
You will provide IR / ER services across divisions including, providing general employee relations guidance, developing negotiation, and bargaining strategies / tactics, and reviewing and interpreting industrial instruments.
You will be expected to develop and implement ER / IR management plans, initiatives, projects and / or new internal systems, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Connect with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents and other staff in relation to ER / IR advice and services.
Provide functional IR / ER advice, advocacy & expertise to manage employee and industrial relations matters.
Keep abreast of contemporary issues, strategies and developments related to IR and ER and use this knowledge to recommend optimal solutions.
Lead and coordinate the delivery of IR / ER services to operating Divisions to enable workplace productivity gains.
Develop and implement ER / IR management plans, initiatives, projects or new internal systems, policies and procedures.
Monitor and respond to changes in legislation, regulations and policies.
Prepare IR / ER information into reports to meet reporting requirements and for inclusion in proposals and tenders.
Prepare workplace agreements, contracts and other employment documentation.
What you'll bring:
Qualification in Human Resources Management / Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Experience in an Industrial Relations / Employee Relations advisory role highly desirable.
Experience delivering IR / ER / HR services within the construction, maintenance or resources industry is advantageous.
Interpret and apply relevant Employee Relations legislation (Fair Work Act etc) with the ability to investigate and negotiate settlement of grievances or disputes.
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and HR Information Systems.
