We are currently seeking an Industrial Nurse providing care to workers in the resources industry.
You will provide support and healthcare services to our client's employees, keeping them healthy and safe while aiming to reduce workplace injuries.
This role includes providing emergency response and primary healthcare to site personnel.
This opportunity is available on a full-time permanent even time roster basis (7 on, 7 off).
This successful applicant will join our existing DIDO operations located close to Darwin.
About youCurrent AHPRA Registration (Unrestricted);Evidence of 3 years relevant experience working in an Advanced/ Intensive Care Nursing environment;Driver's License C Class (Manual);Advanced Life Support Course (ALS) or ACLS or willing to obtain;Authorised Drug Collection Officer or willing to obtain;Proficient computer skills for operational duties;DesirablePrevious experience in the provision of general primary healthcare in a non-hospital environment in a remote environment;A well-developed knowledge of, and experience in the application of Emergency Response Services within the mining sector or equivalent environment.Experience in return-to-work programs and mental health support;Cert IV TAE;Competent to provide immunisations and vaccinations – Current certificate of completion for "Health Immunisation Update" preferable;Fitness to work (FTW) assessments;Rehabilitation and return to work (RTW);Health promotion and wellness experience.About the roleProvide initial emergency response, stabilisation, and transportation / medevac of critically ill or injured patients.Provide primary health care and treatment of non-emergency medical conditions.Participate in HSE activities, tasks and training.Participate in Emergency Response Team education, training, and procedure development.Design, implementation and delivery of onsite training and health awareness packages.Coordinate and deliver onsite drug and alcohol testing.General clinic administration management and reporting duties.BenefitsOnshore oil & gas facility less than 20 minutes from suburban DarwinExcellent remunerationSalary packaging options - up to $15,900 per annum tax free on everyday expenses and $2,650 per annum on meal and entertainment expensesProfessional development opportunitiesFull support through access to RFDS Doctors 24/7Full induction and ongoing training providedAbout UsThe mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia.

Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State.

In 2024, the RFDS is launching a new five-year strategy 'Above and Beyond', which will mark an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history.
