Hourly Rate: $56 per hour plus penalties.
Position: Casual ongoing role with a view to go permanent.
Location: Pittong, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Overtime: Lots of OT available.
Position Overview As a Mechanical Fitter within the maintenance team at our Client's Kaolin processing plant, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery used in the processing of kaolin. This includes, but is not limited to:
Pumps Conveyors Industrial gearboxes Other mechanical components Key Responsibilities Conducting routine maintenance checks on mechanical equipment. Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Performing repairs and replacements of faulty parts. Installing new machinery and equipment as required. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures. Collaborating with other team members to optimise plant efficiency. Documenting maintenance activities and reporting any issues to supervisors. Qualifications and Experience Relevant Trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting and Turning). Minimum 2 years' experience as a tradesperson post-apprenticeship. Forklift License (desirable). Current Driver's License (advantageous). Skills & Attributes Good verbal and written communication skills. Good technical background and experience on pumps, conveyors, industrial gearboxes, and other mechanical components. Hard worker, practical personality.
