About the Company Our client is a specialist hire company providing welders, weld automation products and generators to clients. They are the Australian market leader for welding technology rentals and a national provider of power generation products including diesel generators, load banks, electrical distribution and ancillary services and products. They are currently seeking an Experienced Industrial/Workshop Electrician to join their growing team at the Wacol workshop. About the Role As an Electrician you will be required to work Monday to Thursday (6:30am - 4pm) and Friday (6:30am-1:30pm) with the occasional Saturday. Your primary responsibilities will be to refurbish, repair, inspect and maintain welding and generating equipment including ancillary items. Duties Inspect, test, refurbish, maintain and repair welders and generators. Provide spare part lists for ordering and maintain correct stock levels by advising of parts and consumables used. Supervise, mentor and train electrical apprentices and new trades Perform return from hire inspections. Complete servicing and repair records and maintain inspection logs. Occasionally book freight and perform delivery and pickups. Repair equipment on site where necessary. Contribute to the development of servicing and repair procedures. Ensure hire equipment is tested and compliant prior to dispatch. Assist in the development of quotes by providing repair time estimates and part requirements. About The Products Mechanised and automated welding equipment including tank welding equipment Turnkey Tool store infrastructure Induction heating equipment Rotating and positioning equipment General welding equipment (Migs, Tigs, wire feeders) Compressors/Generators Electrical Switchboards Diesel Welders Requirements Qualified Electrician with proven Industrial (relevant) experience Be proficient in the repair of welding and generating equipment Be a team player, committed to work in a team-based environment Strong oral and written skills.
