The Role We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience within the industries of signage point of sale or joinery.
The role will require you to take concepts and briefs from clients or account managers and design for manufacturing. This include setting up cut files for router or laser cutting and detailing drawings for fabrication. You will be communicating with our inhouse manufacturing team as well as our suppliers. You will also have the opportunity manage your own client account and work on creative concept designs.

We have invested in new machinery, software and upskilling of our staff.Opportunity to upskill and learn new skills.Competitive salary base on experience and capabilities.Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in Industrial Design / Engineering, or equivalent.3+ years working experience in Industrial Design / Engineering, or equivalent.Has design experience in signage point of sale or joinery.This role requires: Work on projects individually and as part of a team, contributing to or managing a project from end to end.Prepare documentation for manufacturing, assembly and installation.Manage manufacturing and deal with suppliers.Ad hoc day-to-day duties as required.Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Good understanding of design for manufacture.Proficiency in the use of Solidworks softwareProficiency in 2D & 3D CAD design with preference to SolidWorks & Autocad softwareProficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Office programsAn eye for detail and an understanding of good design principlesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong ability to work within tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.Previous experience in creating shop drawings for steel (highly desirable).Understanding of different manufacturing processes, with understanding of engineering and cost management during design process.If you are looking for a diverse role where you will have the opportunity to apply a range of skills to all aspects of the design process then this could be the right role for you.
