Industrial and Employee Relations Lead (Human Resources & Recruitment)About the roleAs the Industrial and Employee Relations Lead for the Australian Nursing Federation - IUWP, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation's human resources and recruitment strategies and Industrial and Employee relations for our 42,000 members.
Reporting to the State Secretary, this full-time position is based in our Perth, WA office and will see you driving the implementation of best-in-class industrial and employee relations practices across the Union.What you'll be doingProviding expert advice and guidance on all industrial and employee relations matters, including collective bargaining, dispute resolution, and compliance with relevant legislation for our nurses and midwives.Developing and implementing strategies to foster positive employee relations and engagement.Leading the design and delivery of tailored training programs for managers and employees on industrial relations topics.Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure HR and recruitment activities align with the Union's strategic objectives.Representing the Union in negotiations, tribunals, and other external forums as required (Fair Work and WAIRC).Continuously monitoring the industrial relations landscape and advising on emerging trends and their impact.Providing hands-on support and guidance as the lead to the industrial officers.What we're looking forExtensive experience in industrial and employee relations, ideally within a unionised environment or the not-for-profit sector (minimum 8-10 years).Strong working knowledge of relevant industrial relations legislation and regulations.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proven track record of driving positive employee relations and engagement.Tertiary qualifications in human resources, industrial relations, employee relations, employment law or a related field.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and continuously evolving environment.What we offerAt the Australian Nursing Federation - IUWP, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work experience.
