Provide clinically informed, person-centred care that emphasises trauma-informed practices Build and maintain sustainable, trusting relationships with participants.
Provide early intervention and preventive counselling to promote mental well-being, self-esteem, and personal empowerment.
Develop and maintain partnerships with external providers (e.g., AOD, mental health, housing) Document and share de-identified success stories and program insights to inform stakeholders.
Assist mentors and trainers with strategies for participant engagement and relationship building.
Is this the right role for you?
Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Counselling Current registration with a relevant professional body.
Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal adults, especially in trauma-informed counselling.
Proven capability in managing complex cases, providing culturally appropriate support, and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Current National Police Clearance, NT Working with Children (OCHRE) Card, NT driver's license and suitable qualifications/professional registrations NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
