About the TeamThe Western Australian Iron Ore HSS team delivers excellence in Health, Safety, Security, and Emergency Services.

The emergency management team is responsible for supporting the site by performing all emergency response activities in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
About the TraineeshipWe are seeking enthusiastic individuals for our emergency services officer traineeships across our various WA Iron Ore (WAIO) assets.
The WAIO Emergency Services Trainee Program will include formal training modules, medical and emergency response training, and field leadership.
The successful completion of the traineeship program will result in a nationally accredited Certificate IV in Health along with a Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue.
The timeframe to complete the traineeship is flexible and may take up to 2 years for full completion.
These positions are regionally based at our WA Iron Ore asset locations at Central Mines.

About YouThis role is only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Previous mining or emergency services experience is not required – just a strong desire to learn and develop a range of new skills.
You will be committed to making a positive difference in the health and safety of others, enjoy working outdoors, and be able to work well as part of a team.
You will be able to commit to attending the training institutions required for certificates as part of the trainee program, hold a current and valid driver's licence (preferred), and be able to obtain a Police Clearance.
