The Eraring Power Station, where your training will take place, is a black coal-fired power station located on the shores of Lake Macquarie, approximately 120 km north of Sydney and 40 km south of Newcastle. Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to: Assist with bushland regeneration works at Origin Power StationCarry out land management duties including the identification of plant species and collection and extraction of seeds.Assist with lawn and grass maintenance including weed management.Use handheld, battery-operated and specialist tools of the trade to carry out tasks.Work across 11,000 hectares of bushland and within the greenhouse and maintenance workshop.Assist in general duties that are within the limits of the skills, competence, and ability of a trainee.What you'll bring to the table… To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria: Commitment to both on and off the job trainingDemonstrated interest and passion for Land ConservationPositive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skillsAbility to work in a teamStrong understanding of safety and manual handling techniquesPhysically fit and capable of manual tasksPre-Employment Requirements Hold a White Card or be willing to obtain one before the commencement of work.Ability to commit to travel to Eraring Power StationWillingness to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical AssessmentHepatitis A and B vaccinations or booster.About Zeal Futures Zeal Futures provides the ultimate training and employment experience.
