Position Overview:Full time, 76 hours per fortnight located in Kalgoorlie.Salary: $49.28 p/hr + super + $2.78 p/hr regional allowanceWorking Monday to Friday.About the Opportunity:The Indigenous Health Project Officer (IHPO) has a policy and leadership role, ensuring a focus on Indigenous health and improved integration of care across the Goldfields region. Responsibilities include needs assessment, planning, developing multi-program approaches, and supporting Outreach Workers and Care Coordinators.The IHPO leads ITC staff to work across Indigenous and mainstream primary care sectors to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in obtaining primary health care, oversee care coordination services for those with chronic diseases, and ensure effective treatment pathways for culturally appropriate mainstream primary care.Requirements of the Role:Increase awareness and maximize links between services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Facilitate working relationships between mainstream organizations and Aboriginal Medical Services.Work with local stakeholders to improve access to mainstream primary care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to improve the capacity of primary care providers to deliver culturally appropriate services.Collaborate with local Aboriginal and mainstream health services for the delivery of primary care services.About You:Commitment to upholding HOPE's vision, mission, and values.Experience in working with Aboriginal people in culturally secure ways.High level of written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated experience leading a team in coordinated service delivery.Willingness to drive across the Goldfields Region.Desirable Criteria:Tertiary qualifications in health, education, social science, or equivalent.Current knowledge of Equal Opportunity in employment and service delivery.Additional Requirements:Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check, Working With Children card, Current driver's license, First Aid Certificate, and suitable work referees.Our Culture:Hope strives to provide a safe workplace and promotes policies prioritizing the health and unique needs of our team.What to Expect Next:If shortlisted, you will receive a call to discuss your skills further and may be invited to an interview.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.HOPE acknowledges and welcomes diversity among staff and clients.To apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
