We are seeking applicants for the position of Fire Assayer, who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this role offers.
You will be based at Malaga, WA and will be responsible for using specialised equipment to test minerals for precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
All qualifications and training expenses are fully funded.

Position Description - What will they be doing in their role?
Weigh samples for analysis Fluxing, firing, knock-up and cupellation of samples Picking prill for digest Ensure correct procedures are used and adhered to Follow QHSE procedure This role has the potential to get exposure to other departments and mineral testing processes, including fire assay analysis, sample weighing and gold analysis.
Monday to Friday roster - Day shift, early starts with early finishes Guaranteed overtime each week Position Requirements: Reliable and keen to work Physically fit, prepared to carry out manual tasks Have the ability to follow set procedures and good attention to detail Be willing to work as part of a team with a high focus on quality & safety Enthusiastic to learn, no previous experience required Application requirements: Candidate will be screened by IWS and will need to apply through IWS link Indigenous Workstars specialises in the engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into employment in a variety of communities and industries across Australia.
