Position: Indigenous Education Liaison Officer Start date: January 2025 Classification: Level 4 (School Officer) Hourly Rate: $35.93 - $37.06 (pending experience) Closing Date: Monday, 2 December 2024 About the role We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate educator for the position of Indigenous Education Liaison Officer to join the team at St Peter's Catholic Primary School, Rockhampton.
This is a term time position (30 HPW) commencing from January 2025.
The Indigenous Education Liaison Officer will service the educational mission of the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton by providing support to all aspects of Indigenous Education.
In doing so, advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students together with their families, communities, teachers and school.
Selection Criteria The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate: A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and spiritualities.
An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their families and school staff to improve educational outcomes through targeted and direct academic support.
