By working together, we further strengthen the trust and relatability our brands are known for across Australia.About the roleA new opportunity as Indigenous Affairs Advisor – Governance & Procurement has arisen. This is a critical role in delivering on the commitments outlined in our RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan). This role focuses on increasing the inclusion of Indigenous and First Nations suppliers, supporting governance processes, and ensuring robust reporting and accountability.Applications close on Wednesday 4th December.What you'll be doingReporting to the Head of Indigenous Affairs, you'll deliver initiatives in line with the Coles Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), including:Supporting to coordinate RAP committees, reporting requirements and tracking of deliverables.Managing the identification of business requirements and project success criteria.Providing program management support to SteerCo, Working Group, TM Network, & Allies.Working with analytics to deliver analyses of metrics, identifying key trends and insights.Working with procurement to manage Supply Nation membership and promote, increase and track uptake of Indigenous businesses across the company.Working with P&C and legal to review all relevant policies and procedures under RAP.Collaborating with Diversity and Inclusion team to ensure ongoing roll out of initiatives.What you bringYou'll have 5+ years' governance experience including knowledge of Reconciliation Action Plans, First Nations governance and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.You'll bring exceptional written and verbal communication skills including presentation with demonstrated experience in program management, reporting and data insights and social impact measurement.Importantly you'll have experience in First Nations community and stakeholder engagement and/or community development / social program delivery with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.You'll also needBachelor's degree in Business Management, Communications, Project Management or related field (essential).Ability to build strong, highly respectful relationships.Established relationships with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and organisations.Strategic thinking and ability to apply to a commercial setting.Ability to work under limited supervision (includes attention to detail and ability to prioritise).What's in it for you?Flexible working options: We know that work is only one part of your life, so we actively encourage a positive work-life balance and provide hybrid working options to help you achieve it.Office perks: Take advantage of our gym facility and fitness classes, free parking, BBQ area, mini-Coles supermarket, fooderie hub where you can sample new products before they hit the shelves, school holiday program and so much more when you come in.Discounts: Eligible team members receive 5% discount all year round on your Supermarket and Liquor online and in-store purchases.
