About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Manager to support the design and planning of eBay Australia's Incubation Category Strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Operations, the successful candidate will support the generation of strategies for new categories that align with the company's longer term business objectives.
Sitting in a high-impact and visible team that works closely with the business' leaders, the candidate will be in a unique position to influence the direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:Identify and size opportunities in categories that align with the Australian business long-term business objectives.Conduct research, including market and competitor analysis, to support business cases for potential new categories and define/refine strategies and the tactics deployed to launch and manage them over three-year timeframes.Analyse business data and track key performance metrics, monitor category and product trends and provide recommendations for the pre-launch phases of incubation categories.Support the development of test plans for buyer and seller strategies to drive supply and demand in identified categories.Network across global category teams to understand current and future strategies, tools, and levers we could deploy to support new category launches.Develop detailed operational plans, working in close collaboration with the cross-functional teams, including marketing, seller teams, trust, shipping and finance.A successful Incubation Planning Manager will demonstrate:A strong sense of ownership and natural curiosity.Solid analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.Clear and concise communication skills.Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams.Strong ability to gather and analyse data to form insights and recommendations.Preferred qualifications and experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field.3+ years of experience in retail, operations or business management and/or consulting.If you're passionate about eCommerce and want to be part of the category strategy for eBay Australia, this is the role for you.
