About the Role: The Organisational Development function supports the development of MP's organisational culture, and is focused on ensuring MP is a great place to work. The purpose of this position is to lead the execution and review of Melbourne Polytechnic's strategic inclusion framework, and the development, execution, facilitation and review of a suite of programs to support inclusion and bring about positive culture change. This position will also support the Chief Executive as Chair of the Inclusion, Respect and Equality Taskforce – coordinating the Taskforce on the CE's behalf, and managing the reporting requirements of the Taskforce. These initiatives aim to reinforce Melbourne Polytechnic's standing as the foremost TAFE in terms of inclusion.
Duties: Facilitate whole of organisation culture change through consultation with key stakeholders to design, deliver and evaluate capability programs to build knowledge and skills of staff, and at times students, to increase inclusion, and support the development of MP's organisational culture. Manage the development and coordination of MP's Strategic Inclusion Framework to guide the work of the Inclusion Respect and Equality (IRE) Taskforce, and to express MP's approach to inclusion in a coordinated and intersectional way, contributing to both our employment and student brand. Support and guide the Chief Executive as Chair of the IRE Taskforce through management of the IRE Taskforce, including by influencing and coordinating the agendas of Taskforce meetings, and by leading the reporting processes of the Taskforce. Report on outcomes and progress of actions taken, contribution to the preparation of reports for the IRE Taskforce, the Board and the Executive Leadership Committee. Provide guidance and analysis on current initiatives, emerging themes, and best practice related to inclusion, respect and equality . Partner with, influence and coach people leaders to identify capability development needs and identify the solutions required to build capability within their teams, including via on 'on-the-job' learning, ensuring interventions are focused on building the right capability to achieve MP's inclusion and culture ambitions. Partner with the Implementation Lead - Gender Equality and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence to create an integrated and intersectional approach to MP's inclusion work. Design, implement and evaluate initiatives to drive behavioural change and increased representation and success of key cohorts, with a particular emphasis on MP's community with disability, those who are LGBTIQA+, those who have a multicultural background and other cohorts that make up our diverse community. Faciliation of workshops to build capability in inclusion and mindset and behaviour shifts to build organisational culture. Engage with experts to ensure evidence based and good practice approaches. Engage with executives, staff and students to promote inclusion, respect and equality. Work in partnership with the Strategy, Performance and Growth group to integrate inclusion initiatives into the organisation's broader strategic and operational plans, providing subject matter expertise.
