Selection Criteria 1. Suitable qualifications and experience as an Inclusion aide working with students with severe behaviour issues.
2. Demonstrated ability to assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of education and behaviour improvement programs for students with disabilities, within a broad age and disability range.
3. Ability to work as a team member under the directions of teachers, to follow instructions and carry out designed duties
4. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills and professional behaviour including an ability to maintain confidentiality when communicating with parents, teachers, students, other integration aides and members of the wider educational and local community.
5. Experience and willingness to use Information Communication and Learning Technologies to assist students with disabilities, therefore providing opportunities to maximise their learning outcomes.
6. Demonstrated ability in being able to develop positive relationships with students through empathy, understanding, care and awareness of the individual needs, together with an ability to be adaptable and flexible according to the changing needs of students with disabilities.
Role Assist students on an individual or group basis in specific learning areas, including reading, writing, maths, art and sport under direction of the class teacher. Responsibilities Follow instructions and directions to aid a student with either a disability or impairment.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with students, co-workers, leaders, student support services and the general public. 
Work as a member of a team ¿ ie: with classroom teachers, the inclusion Team, Learning Support co-ordinator, student wellbeing coordinators, visiting teachers and parents.
Complete daily tracking sheets for PSD student/s on Compass.
Maintain and collate student profiles. 
Assist in the preparation of resources and materials.
Participate in Student Support Group meetings, when required. 
Maintain complete trust and confidentiality with students, teachers and parents.
Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of programs and the evaluation of individual students with teachers, leaders and the inclusion Team.
Assist with personal care of students as required including toileting, washing, eating (peg-feeding and drinking), mobility and administration of medication. 
Attend therapy sessions with a student as required so that therapy can be applied in the classroom if appropriate and required.
Perform routine administrative and operational support tasks
Participate in team meetings
Follow existing processes, guidelines and established procedures
Complete Yard Duty as directed by the Business Manager and Learning Support Manager
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, leaders, students and the general public. 
Perform duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner in accordance with the College Values, the Victorian Public Sector Code of Conduct and all local policies and codes of conduct.
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures and staff policies and protocols. 
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

Conditions of Employment This vacancy is specifically linked to Student Support Funding and is ongoing. If the funding reduces or ceases during the first seven years of employment, employment may cease subject to the provision of at least 12 weeks' notice.
Location Profile Located in the Southeast growth corridor, the College opened in 2002. The school now has more than 2,500 students who are supported by a teaching and Education Support staff of approximately of 350.  The College¿s Leadership consists of 9 Principal Class Officers and 35 Middle Tier Leaders (LS/LT). There are 40 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the College. There are 780+ EAL student enrolments across the College. We have a significant number of funded students in the Program for Students with Disabilities. The school is a welcoming place where students from many cultures learn together in outstanding facilities.
The College is led by a Principal at the AP6 level who along with the Principal Class Officers is supported by a Senior Administrative Team comprising a Manager of Human Resources, Manager of Finance, Manager of IT and Manager of Facilities.
In addition, to reflect the Department of Education¿s move to the Disability Inclusion Process (DIP), the College has appointed two DIP Coordinators established at the AP1 level. Both positions report directly to the Head of Wellbeing and Inclusion. Further, the College has built an exceptional team of Multi-Cultural Engagement and Inclusion Assistants who comfortably work alongside the PCO, Teachers, students, and their families.
The College is categorized as low compared to other State schools in socio-economic terms. The school family occupation and education (SFOE) index being set at 0.583. To support our families and their children, the College has a sophisticated Wellbeing Team which is overseen daily by a Manager (ES) who also reports to the Head of Wellbeing and Inclusion. Our programs are underpinned by an eclectic array of NGO¿s, Department of Education¿s Doctors in Schools, Allied Health Services, and Community Programs such as State School Relief and Foodbank. In 2024, the College has embarked upon a partnership with Monash Health. This partnership sees a Paediatrician and a Paediatric Fellow onsite weekly.
