We currently have an onsite opportunity for a customer focused Graphic Designer to join our small fast paced team in our Summer Hill Support Office, within walking distance from public transport.
Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat is essential. As are an eye for detail, strong administrative skills and a commercial approach to design.
What will you do? Design and create digital media assets (e.g. website banners, shopping centre advertisements, digital advertisements, social media assets and EDMs)Provide graphic design assistance for store POS, EDMs and website assetsComplete design tasks as assigned by the Marketing Team including: Resizing graphics, preparing digital assets (including simple gif animation) based on approved conceptsAssist with the development of the JPL brands by ensuring the correct use of all brand identity guidelines, achieving overall consistency for each campaignProduce accurate, error-free mechanical files using Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and Acrobat suiteReview job instructions (written and verbal) and present questions as required for the successful completion of the jobReview and quality check all work prior to sharing it for feedback/approvalMaintain good filing systemsComplete ad-hoc tasks as requestedBe an active participant in our office life, including the daily replenishment of stock to stores pickingExceptional attention to detail and high standards are a mustWhat skills and experience do you need? High accuracy, attention to detail and quality controlExperience in retail marketing is desirableGood verbal and written communication skills2 years' proven experience in a similar positionProficient Mac skills, including back-up and maintenanceProven skills in using Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Acrobat.A good understanding and ability to use Photoshop and Illustrator is advantageous.Understanding of pre-press and print production, digital asset build including the creation of animated gifs, and other digital assets, be able to supply working files according to specificationsAbility to design and create EDMs (electronic direct mail)Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlinesStrong time management and ability to multi-taskSelf-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamThis is a fantastic opportunity to work with the largest jewellery retailer in Australia.
