It is positioned as a key role within the business to provide adept and commercially focused legal advice. Dealing directly with the business, and being mentored as required, the Legal Counsel will be involved in a broad range of commercial activities, including contract drafting and amendment, procurement, negotiations, bespoke legal advice, dispute management strategies and involvement, briefing external counsel, and reporting to senior management on contractual risks and mitigation strategies.The Lawyer we seekThe lawyer we seek will have completed at least 3 years of PQE, up to around 6 or so, in a commercial law firm or in-house company. They will be smart, commercially minded and good with people, and have a good eye for detail and ability to negotiate contract terms with confidence.
