Import Sea Operations

ABOUT THE ROLE Working closely with the imports team and reporting directly to the Imports Manager, you will be responsible for all import processes, from handling required documentation to lodging sea cargo automation, shipment monitoring and customs status follow-up, liaising with transport departments, and arranging all final invoicing.
A minimum of 2 years' Import experience in the Australian forwarding industry is essential.
DUTIES • Verifying all documentation is correct through registration and passing on clearance documents to Customs Brokers • Shipment tracking and follow-up with all relevant sources • Lodging of sea cargo • Monitoring of shipment status, updating clients on schedule changes • Coordinating delivery (and dehire for FCL) with transport providers • Costing and Invoicing files SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Minimum 2 years experience in an Import FCL/LCL or Airfreight operations role • Understanding of end-to-end import processes • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well within a team • Tradewindow experience is a bonus but not essential • Ability to work well under pressure COMPANY CULTURE Though small, it is a close-knit and hardworking group that thrives in a dynamic and evolving company.
