ABOUT THE COMPANY As an internationally owned freight forwarder, our client have strategically placed offices across the globe. Locally, our client has offices in Brisbane and Sydney, and a head office based in Melbourne's west.
ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an Import Operator with a focus on seafreight to join a team 4. Working within a vibrant and supportive culture, the right candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of import sea and air freight operations.
DUTIES • Monitor registration of import sea and air freight shipments• Lodging of sea cargo automation• Documentation management, passing on files to customs and transport teams once shipments have departed• Updating status reports to ensure client visibility
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE  • Exposure to freight forwarding (Import Operations) preferred• Ability to work well within a team environment• Excellent communication and presentation• Exposure to CW1 a bonus• A proactive, focused mind with the drive to succeed
