Responsibilities Assisting with all documentation relating to Import Freight OperationsRegistering import shipments via Expedient software systemPreparing paperwork for shipment, as requiredLiaising with import clients on all aspects relating to their cargo including forwarding shipments and obtaining release numbers from shipping companies for the collection of empty containersLiaising with relevant terminals and depots upon cargo delivery regarding the unloading, packing and importing of cargo on behalf of customers as/when required.Assisting in preparing import documentation to facilitate the packing of containersReceiving and resolving general freight forwarder inquiries, seeking assistance where applicableAssisting in preparing import & export documentation to facilitate the packing of containersLiaising with the transport department and forwarding relevant documentation to arrange for packed container delivery to the designated wharf for import.Generating final manifest for import unpacks and liaising with clients accordinglyAssisting with the entry of data into internal Maximas systems relating to container arrival and releasesAd hoc duties as required by your Manager Key Competencies / Skills Demonstrated ability to work in a team environmentExcellent communication, interpersonal and written skillsGood organisational skillsIntermediate MS Office suite skillsPreferred ICS/Expedient experienceAbility to implement and deliver within a fast-paced teamComputer literate to intermediate level with ability to quickly learn new systemsWork collaboratively and harmoniously as a part of a teamAbility to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolutionFlexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environmentMust be fit for work with a good level of fitness and general health Qualifications And Experience 2 years experienceBasic knowledge of freight forwarding and supply chain required Benefits: Up to 50% off gyms, studios, active wear, healthy meals, supplements, recovery and more through the Qube Fit program.Discounted health insuranceSpecial paid leave to participate in volunteering activitiesUnlimited access to employee assistance program delivered through BenestarGenerous paid parental leave for eligible employees
