(pro rata) (Subject to private practice agreement)Temporary up to 2/5/25 and part-time working 11.25 hours per weekAbout the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Consultant in Immunology and Allergy to join our dynamic Clinical Immunology and Allergy unit. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering safe, high-quality clinical services to both inpatients and outpatients, providing expert care to those referred to our unit. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the implementation of best practice standards in patient care, while also contributing to the development and improvement of clinical services. This is a unique opportunity to influence the growth and evolution of clinical immunology and allergy services, ensuring exceptional outcomes for our diverse patient group.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will have the chance to make a significant impact in education and research. You will be actively involved in the teaching and training of medical students, junior doctors, and postgraduate trainees, fostering the next generation of clinicians in this specialised field. Furthermore, you will contribute to cutting-edge clinical and basic research aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of immunological and allergic conditions. About You We are looking for a Consultant in Immunology and Allergy who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications, experience, and personal qualities:
Qualifications: MBBS (or equivalent) and appropriate specialist qualifications with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority.Experience: Proven experience in the clinical practice of Immunology and Allergy, quality improvement activities, and clinical research/trials.Skills: Strong clinical excellence, professional integrity, effective communication, and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.Knowledge: Specialist-level understanding of Immunology and Allergy, clinical standards, policies, and quality improvement principles.About CALHN The Central Adelaide Local Health Network includes South's Australia's major quaternary facility, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct.
