Immunisation Nurse (Casual) Are you a passionate healthcare professional dedicated to promoting public health and improving immunisation rates?
We are currently seeking experienced Immunisation Nurses to join our team on a casual basis to provide influenza and other vaccines throughout Melbourne from our base in Abbotsford with most work occurring between March and June each year.
As an Immunisation Nurse, you will play a vital role in administering vaccinations to individuals in workplaces.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and obtaining informed consent for immunisation Administering vaccinations and providing accurate documentation Monitoring individuals for any adverse reactions or allergies Providing education and counselling on vaccinations Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and protocols About You To excel in this role, you should be a highly organised person who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You must be able to establish a rapport with people and make them feel at ease during the immunisation process.
Attention to detail, familiarity with IT processes and meticulous documentation skills are necessary to ensure accurate records and adherence to legal requirements.
Requirements: Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration HESA-accredited nurse immuniser certificate; or nurse immuniser certificate valid for the state/territory in which you wish to work PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be RNs and include details of their nurse immuniser certificate relevant to their state/territory in their CV.
