In this key senior role, reporting to the Managing Partner and Quality/Compliance Manager, you will thrive on the challenge and fulfilment of this full-spectrum role:
Managing your own immigration practice/clients from taking initial enquiries, conversion of prospects to clients and providing legal advice including: visa options, eligibility, application merits, drafting submissions, preparing and lodging visa applications & liaising with immigration authorities, responding to refusals, judicial reviews/appeals & attending tribunal/court (if you're a lawyer).Mentoring/Training juniors if and when required.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? We are interested in hearing from you if you:
are a lawyer admitted in Victoria or NSW with a current UNRESTRICTED practising certificate (essential) OR a registered migration agent with a current MARA licence;have MINIMUM 4+ years post-qualification (or more up to senior associate/special counsel) in immigration law specifically with experience with partner visas (essential) and protection visas (preferable not essential);have proven ability to highly autonomously manage your own cases from initial client enquiry to visa approval/grant in a busy fast-paced deadline-driven environment;are results driven, empathetic and passionate about human rights and making a positive impact on real people's lives.Your application will include the following questions:
